She thought, “what if I made a soap with lemon, lemon balm, AND lemongrass and called it Lemon Bomb?” The most amazing part is that she remembered that in the morning!
We infused the water in this recipe with lemon balm and lemongrass grown right here at the Two Plant Doctors’ Hempstead! We also infused olive oil with our homegrown lemon balm and added it to the final soap batter for its fresh scent and skin-soothing properties.
This is a rich, creamy moisturizing soap made with kokum butter, cocoa butter, and shea nut butter to soften, along with olive, castor & coconut oils to gently clean. We added ground calendula flowers and yellow clay to give it a natural, deep golden color and scented it with lemon balm infused olive oil, and essential oils of lemongrass and lemon. If only someone would invent a “scenternet” so you could smell this beauty!
Ingredients: lemongrass & lemon balm infused water, coconut oil, kokum butter, olive, castor, & sweet almond oil, lemon balm infused olive oil, sodium hydroxide, shea nut & cocoa butters, calendula flowers, yellow clay, lemon & lemongrass essential oils, sodium lactate.
